What is a Furnace Induction Motor?

The induction motor on a stove is the motor that operates the induction assembly, which is a small fan that draws heat into the stove and distributes it to the outside vents. This component is usually made of metal or plastic, depending on the AFUE percentage of the furnace.

A stove induction motor is essentially a motor-driven fan with an electrical box for the power connection and a metal enclosure.

The motor should move air through the furnace and heating vents.

The purpose of the motor is to expel harmful gases, including carbon monoxide, through the furnace vent or chimney.

A fan removes toxic fumes from previous heating cycles.

The operation of the motor prevents the stove burners from becoming clogged with soot.

Cleaner air means safer, more efficient induction furnace conditions.

Furnace Induction Motor Features:

1. Induction-running induction motors use auxiliary coils and capacitors not only when starting, but also when running. Although the starting torque is not very large, its structure is simple, its reliability is high, and its efficiency is also high.

2. It can run continuously.

3. With the size of the load, the rated speed of the motor will also change.

4. It is used in applications that do not require speed braking.

5. Type E insulation grade is used, while Type A is used for UL type motors.

6. There are two kinds of induction running single-phase induction motor and three-phase induction motor.

7. The single-phase motor is an induction motor with high efficiency and low noise.

8. When the single-phase induction motor is running, it produces a torque opposite to the direction of rotation, so it is impossible to change the direction in a short time. The direction of rotation should be changed after the motor has come to a complete stop.

9. The power supply of single-phase motor includes A (110V 60Hz), B (220V 60Hz), C (100V 50/60Hz), D (200V 50/60Hz), E (115V 60Hz), X (200-240V50Hz), etc.

10. The power supply of the three-phase motor includes U (200V 50/60Hz), T (220V 50/60Hz), S (380-440V 50/60Hz), etc.

The rotor in an induction motor has no specific electrical connections.
