Ladle Melt Furnace For Steelmaking

Ladle melt furnace series, ladle refining furnace can be used for molten steel refining in primary smelting furnace (such as intermediate frequency smelting furnace).

The ladle melting furnace is composed of ladle, ladle car and towing cable, furnace cover, electrode lifting mechanism, short net, water cooling system, hydraulic system, argon gas system, electric furnace transformer, high voltage system and electrical automation system.

It's an important metallurgical equipment for continuous casting and continuous rolling.

It heats the molten steel by arc heating under normal pressure, and stirs it with argon gas at the bottom of the whole process to uniformize the temperature and

composition of the molten steel, make the molten steel pure, fine-tune the alloy composition, buffer, adjust the rhythm of smelting and continuous casting to facilitate continuous production, etc.

Features:

1. The water-cooled furnace cover is equipped with a dust removal interface that can adjust the size of the flue gas outlet, 

so that the furnace maintains a slightly positive pressure and a reducing atmosphere;

2. The copper-steel composite conductive cross arm is used to reduce the diameter of the electrode distribution circle and improve the service life of the furnace lining;

3. Equipped with automatic or manual temperature measurement and sampling device to accurately measure the temperature of molten steel;

4. The high-current system adopts large-section water-cooled cables, compensators, and copper-steel composite conductive cross arms to reduce the impedance of the main circuit;

5. Use the alloy and slag adding device to accurately measure the alloy and slag in the bag;

6. Equipped with PLC control system and smelting model.

Main Functions of Ladle Melt Furnace:

1. Warm up the molten steel and keep it warm.

The molten steel obtains new thermal energy through arc heating, 

which can not only add alloy and adjust the composition during ladle refining, 

but also add slag, which is convenient for deep desulfurization and deoxidation of molten steel.

Moreover, the molten steel opening temperature required by continuous casting is guaranteed, 

which is beneficial to the improvement of the quality of the dry casting billet.

2. Argon stirring function.

The fluorine gas is blown into the molten steel through the breathable brick installed at the bottom of the ladle, and the molten steel obtains a constant stirring function.

3. Vacuum degassing function.

After being hoisted into the vacuum tank by the ladle, vacuum degassing is carried out by a steam jet pump,

At the same time, by blowing argon gas at the bottom of the bag to stir the molten steel, the hydrogen content and nitrogen content in the molten steel can be removed,

And further reduce the oxygen content and sulfur content, and finally obtain higher purity molten steel and materials with superior performance.
