How to classify the raw materials of electric arc furnace steelmaking? 

The raw materials for electric arc furnace steelmaking can be divided into two categories: metal materials; non-metal materials.

Metal materials include: scrap steel, pig iron, molten iron, direct reduced iron (DRI), ferroalloys, iron ore and iron oxide scale, etc.

Non-metallic materials include: slag-forming materials, such as lime, fluorite, dolomite, carbon balls (carbon powder), high alumina vanadium, etc.; 

synthetic slag materials, such as desulfurizers, melting synthetic refining slag, etc.;

Refractory materials, such as furnace bottom refractories, ladle refractories, middle-package refractories, etc.;
