《Induction Furnaces (1)》

Induction Furnaces are industrial furnaces that use the principle of electromagnetic induction to melt (heat) metals.

The AC power supply used by the induction furnace has three types: power frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz), intermediate frequency (60-10000 Hz), and high frequency (higher than 10000 Hz).

The main components are the inductor, furnace body, power supply, capacitor, and control system.

Induction furnaces are divided into two categories: Induction melting furnaces and Induction heating equipment.

The former is used for smelting or heat preservation of materials, and the charge is finally liquid;

The latter is used for material heating, including the overall uniform heating, surface heating, or local heating of the material.

HANI mainly supplies melting furnaces for customers to melt scrap steel on request.

If heating metallic materials, place them in a crucible made of refractory material. If heating non-metallic materials, place the material in a graphite crucible.

When the frequency of the alternating current is increased, the frequency of the induced current increases accordingly, and the heat generated increases.

The induction furnace heats quickly, with high temperature, convenient operation and control, and less pollution of materials during the heating process, which can ensure product quality.

It is mainly used for smelting special high-temperature materials, and can also be used as heating and control equipment for growing a single crystal from the melt.

Working Principle

When the alternating current passes through the induction coil, an alternating magnetic field is generated around the coil, and the conductive material in the furnace generates an induced potential under the action of the alternating magnetic field, thereby forming a current (eddy current) at a certain depth on the surface of the charge, and the charge is heated and melted by the eddy current. Thereby smelting scrap steel.

The composition and temperature of the material in the furnace are relatively uniform, the forging heating temperature can reach 1250℃, and the melting temperature can reach 1650℃.
