Increasing the number of continuous casting furnaces in the tundish is an important measure to increase the productivity of the continuous caster and reduce the operating cost. Multi-furnace continuous pouring is a comprehensive index, which is affected by many factors and also represents the level of production management. What we are pursuing is to steadily increase the average number of continuous casting furnaces. According to the factory experience, the technical measures to realize the continuous casting of multiple furnaces:
(1) Reduce steel breakout accidents of continuous casters. It is necessary to prevent the breakout of the open pouring, the breakout in the injection, the change of the tundish, the breakout of the tail billet, etc.
(2) Strengthen the baking and heat preservation and turnover of the ladle, so that the red envelope tapping rate can reach more than 95%. Appropriate drainage sand makes the spout self-opening rate over 90%.
(3) Improve the quality of refractory materials in the tundish, blow argon on the overall stopper of the tundish, prevent clogging of the immersion nozzle, and use an Mg-Al ring initiator to improve the success rate of pouring.
(4) Achieve rapid replacement of tundish technology.
(5) Multi-furnace continuous casting technology of different steel grades.
